| Under the Ministry of Public Works, three bids were opened yesterday for the procurement of works for the Amaila Falls Hydro Electric Project (AFHEP) for the design and building of the Kuribrong Bridge. Envirotech of Trinidad submitted a bid for $7.4B (US$37M) with the engineer’s estimate being US$1.8M.The bids were opened by the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB), Ministry of Finance, Main Street.The engineer’s estimate was US$1,828,000 and the bids:BidderAmount Dynamic Engineering Company Ltd$393.1MC&H Engineering and Construction Company Inc.$2.8B (Billion)Envirotech of Trinidad$7.4B (Billion)Meanwhile, in the security sector, the Ministry of Home Affairs under the Citizens Security Programme also received bids for the supply and delivery of forensic laboratory and (IT) equipment.
