Trainers and defensive coordinator Perry Fewell ran to see what happened. After his shoe and sock were removed, Rolle winced when pressure was applied to his ankle.
The nine-year safety was expected to have an MRI and other tests to determine the seriousness of the injury, coach Tom Coughlin said after practice.
"He is a good sound player," Coughlin said of Mundy, who is entering his fifth NFL season.
He was helped off the field and examined further before being carted off.
Rolle has not missed a game in three seasons with the Giants. The 30-year-old had a career-best 108 tackles last season, marking the second straight year he led New York in tackles. He also had two interceptions,Gorgui Dieng Jersey, five passes defended, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
