But there's no getting around that the EPA emissions report is a measure of Texas' prosperity.

Whole industries are jumping into natural gas as a cheap, reliable, cleaner fuel source. But getting it out of the ground, transporting it, refining it and burning it causes emissions. Texas' emissions-causing efforts in the oilfields contribute to emissions reductions elsewhere where gas is being used instead of coal.
