The meeting also extended its full and unstinted solidarity with the workers of Wales Estate. Members expressed the view that the Corporation’s plans for rice are unsuitable and strongly believed that the Estate could overcome its difficulties and challenges. Members also called on the Government and GuySuCo to rescind their nefarious decision noting the harsh repercussions that will follow should the closure decision be fully pursued.” The Union stated.
