A post mortem examination performed on 78-year-old Eileen August earlier this week gave her cause of death as a Thromboembolism. This is the formation of a clot in the blood. The clot if left untreated would break loose and plug the gastrointestinal tract which may lead to a stroke in the brain.The report further indicates that Thromboembolism was due to the injuries she sustained to her right leg.The 78-year old woman who was involved in an accident some three weeks ago died earlier this week at the Georgetown Hospital. August was struck down by a callous driver on July 27; the driver never took the elderly woman to seek medical attention. Instead the driver reportedly took the seriously injured woman to his grandmother’s funeral.
