The prosecutor explained that the police have ascertained that the registration for Griffith’s car shows that he resides at Rainbow City Linden.The prosecutor further stated that after Griffith was arrested he gave the police as his address, Second Street, Campbellville.Massiah further told the court that yesterday ranks from CANU were acting on intelligence when they trailed Griffith who was at the time driving along Bent Street.The prosecutor stated that no one else was in the car at the time.According to the prosecution, the officers stopped at a certain point in the street. Massiah said that Griffith then stopped the vehicle in front of Cross’s residence and proceeding to disembark.He said that Griffith opened the car trunk and took out a package and proceeded to take it into Cross’s house.After Griffith went into the house the officers proceeded to enter the house but were greeted with a grilled door, which was heavily padlocked.The prosecutor said that the police were forced to break the grill door. They found the defendants hiding in the home.He said that the ranks then searched the home and found the illicit drugs. They told the defendants of the offence and later charged them.The matter has been transferred to Court Five for Monday April 6. |
